Do you have to live in Sienna to play on a SFSA team?
No, SFSA is open to all girls ages 4 -15.
What ages can play?
Girls ages 4 -15 years old can play. Teams are broken up into age brackets:
- 6 & Under
- 8 & Under
- 10 & Under
- 12/14 & Under
Do you have to be experienced to play?
No experience is necessary to come out and have fun while improving your skills.
Do you have Tournament and Select Teams?
Yes! We offer tournament teams for recreational players in 8U and older and have several Select teams (10U and older).
How can I volunteer to coach a team?
Upon registering your child to play, you can select the option to volunteer as a coach, or you may email the league (SPSoftballAssociation@gmail.com)
Where are the games played?
Games are played on Fields 6 / 7 / 8 at Camp Sienna which is located at 7725 Camp Sienna Trail.
How often is practice?
Practice is typically held twice a week, except for the 6U division, which generally practices once a week.
What do players wear?
Game jerseys, belts, and socks are included with registration. Players will be expected to wear softball pants and cleats.
Does equipment need to be purchased?
Players are required to have a fielding mask, batting helmet, and fielding glove. Softball bats are recommended but not required.
When will I find out what team my daughter is on?
Players are required to attend evaluations (typically the following Saturday after registration closes) to ensure that teams are drafted fairly. The team drafts are typically completed within a couple of days and our goal is to have coaches communicate via TeamSnap the Wednesday following evaluations
What if my daughter cannot attend evaluations due to a previous commitment?
While attending evaluations is a requirement for all players, we understand that unavoidable conflicts may arise due to prior commitments. If your daughter is unable to attend, please notify us by emailing spsoftballassociation@gmail.com so we can make a note of her absence.
Rest assured, your daughter will still be drafted to a team, and her coach will reach out to you the following week with further details.
When are games?
Games typically begin 3 to 4 weeks after evaluations are completed. They are held on dedicated days each week to help families plan ahead. Please see the schedule below:
- Mondays – 12U/14U Division
- Wednesdays – 10U Division
- Thursdays – 8U Division
- Saturdays – 6U Division
In the event of inclement weather, games may be rescheduled and families will be notified as soon as possible with updated dates and times.
