The players selected for the all star teams are chosen using the following criteria:

  • Pre-Season Evaluation
  • In Season level of Play
  • Commitment level to practice and games in season
  • All Star Tryouts
  • Consensus of the managers per the players respective division.

The All Star Season requires a registration fee of $150 per player. This money goes toward the cost of multiple uniforms for the player and registration to the USA Softball representative.  SPSA covers atleast half of the remaining costs of All Stars. All Star season usually runs from mid April to possibly June or July depending on the consensus of the teams desires. All Star tournaments begin the last week of April.

The selected all star player must be a current league player with SPSA, have a zero balance with the league, and not be on more than one USA Softball roster. The family of the all star player will be expected to commit to the team for the duration, and will be asked to participate in additional practice time with their child, as all star preparation coincides with the current league schedule.

The family and player will continue their duties to their respective league team until the season ends after the EOS Tournament. If a player has been selected to the all star team and it is found their attendance and or commitment to their league team diminishes it will be determined that said child may not qualify for the upcoming all star season.

2020 All Star Commitment Letters will be emailed with the tryout invitation, if necessary, and must be turned in before tryouts in order for your daughter to tryout. It is mandatory that your child be available for the Tournaments in order to be eligible for All-Star selection.

SPSA and its Board Of Directors will use its discretion to determine, in any age group, whether or not the skill and ability level meets the standards for competition at this level. Should it not meet this level, SPSA has the right to not field a team for any age level.
